Spotlight: Distinctive Navajo Jewelry

Spotlight: Distinctive Navajo Jewelry

Indian Traders is exceedingly proud of the relationships we share with the many talented Native American artisans who produce the beautiful Navajo, Zuni, and Hopi jewelry we offer for purchase on our website. Proceeds from every Native American jewelry item sold here directly support the artist and their community, and unless clearly stated as otherwise, every piece is authentically Native American in its design and craftsmanship. Materials, too, are genuine sterling silver and semi-precious stones (unless stipulated otherwise).

Let’s take a look at a few of our more unique, distinctive, or unusual Navajo-made pieces of Native American jewelry.

1.     Navajo Overlay Bear Paw Earrings

Handmade by Ross Antonio, these sterling silver overlay hook earrings depict the heart line of the bear’s paw (palm), which symbolizes power, inner strength, leadership and authority. The bear is the “first helper” in Navajo Creation stories. These stunning earrings are each embellished with a single turquoise stone.
