The Morning Cradleboard blanket is a design that owes it’s origin to Oklahoman artist Wendy Ponca a member of the Osage nation. The pattern is inspired by the finger woven straps used to secure a baby in a Osage cradleboard. Cradleboards were the beginning of the “Road of Life” for a child offering protection on it’s path to self sufficiency. Just as the cradleboard protected the baby this blanket will provide warmth and safety.
