1.5" Hopi Overlay Bear Paw Earrings

These matte finished Hopi earrings by Hopi artist Darren Seweyestewa feature the Bear Paw symbol with Prayer Feathers also incorporated in the heal of the paw.  These earrings are 1 1/2" long, have a hanging length of 2" and are 7/8" wide at the widest point. Weight is approximately 8.5 grams.

Bear Paw: The bear or bear paw is a symbol of inner strength, power, authority and leadership.

Prayer Feathers: Prayer feathers or "Pahos" are created out of cottonwood root or cedar and have specific feathers attached to catch the wind. They are generally created to communicate with the Creator of the Kachinas and are used to accomplish specific tasks of protection and blessings.
