Lost Trail Pass crosses the border of Idaho and Montana, high in the Bitterroot Mountains. It was near here that the Lewis and Clark Corps of Discovery entered the Bitterroot Valley in September 1805, after successfully traversing the intense mountain terrain. In this USA-made wool blanket design, two peaked bands represent the Columbia River Drainage Basins divided by Lost Trail: Bitterroot Clark-Fork to the north, and Salmon to the south. The middle band showcases some of the wildlife that call the area home.
